Free & Clear Shampoo – Improved Now Even Milder

Hair was still oily and smelly after using this shampoo. I alternated using this and another shampoo until it was gone. I then switched to a baby shampoo which is still mild, but seems to actually clean my hair and scalp.

I kept having issues with acne on my shoulders, chest, and back, and decided to switch all of my hair products from the stuff that “smells yummy” to Free & Clear. No, it doesn’t have that flowery/fruity smell that we all love about hair products, but I just spray a little bit of perfume in my hair and mission accomplished. Needless to say, my acne has cleared up 95%.

Also, I have curly hair, and I find that the shampoo, conditioner, and hair gel work well together to keep my curls bouncy.

One important note – definitely follow the directions for the shampoo and conditioner. For the shampoo, make sure to lather, rinse and repeat, using a generous amount of shampoo, especially if you have long, thick hair like myself. The first lather is not very foamy. But the second time around, you get the normal foaming action you would expect from a shampoo. For the conditioner, it works best when you leave it on for a few minutes. I usually work it into my hair, put it up in a clip, wash my body/face, and then rinse out the conditioner. After you rinse it out, it will feel very natural – when you run your fingers through your hair, it won’t feel slimy like conditioners sometimes will make your hair feel. It may not be for everyone, but I prefer this because I know there isn’t a bunch of gunk leftover in my hair.
